NEXT MEETING FEBRUARY 12, 2021

FEBRUARY UNION MEETING

             WE WILL MOVE FORWARD WITH OUR FEBRUARY 12^TH UNION MEETING. HOWEVER, IF CONDITIONS WORSEN DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC A DECISION TO CANCEL MAY OCCUR. PLEASE MONITOR YOUR EMAILS JUST IN CASE A LAST-MINUTE DECISION MUST BE MADE. IF YOU HAVE NOT GIVEN THE OFFICE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS, I URGE YOU TO DO SO, AS THIS IS THE FASTED WAY OF COMMUNICATING TO OUR MEMBERSHIP.

MONTHLY UNION DUES FOR 2021

                  MONTHLY UNION DUES FOR 2021 HAVE INCREASED TO $52.80 PER MONTH. BE SURE TO KEEP YOUR UNION DUES CURRENT. AS ALWAYS, KEEPING WITH THE INTERNATIONAL CONSTITUTION AND OUR BY-LAWS ANY MEMBER WHO FALLS MORE THAN TWO MONTHS IN THE REARS WILL BE SUBJECT TO SUSPENSION.

SCHOLARSHIP TESTING / LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL

                 SCHOLARSHIP TESTING IS OPEN TO ALL MEMBERS LEGAL DEPENDENTS WHO WILL BE GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL THIS SPRING AND PLAN TO ATTEND COLLEGE OR A CERTIFIED TRADE SCHOOL. A TESTING DATE HAS NOT BEEN DECIDED AS OF NOW DUE TO THE CURRENT COVID-19 SITUATION. NEVER THE LESS WE WILL MOVE FORWARD WITH OUR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM. PLEASE CONTACT THE OFFICE TO RECEIVE A REGISTRATION PACKET FOR LOCAL 28 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM AND THE INTERNATIONALS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM. MOST OSHA 5 REFRESHER AND DRUG TESTING

             ALL M.O.S.T. OSHA 5HR. REFRESHER AND DRUG TESTING EXPIRATION DATES HAVE BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL JUNE 30, 2021 DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. HOWEVER, IF YOU WISH TO SCHEDULE AN ONLINE OSHA 5HR REFRESHER OR A M.O.S.T. DRUG TEST PLEASE CONTACT THE OFFICE

January Meeting Cancelled

Next Meeting: February 12th, 2021

Our January Union Meeting has been cancelled die to the increase in COVID-19 cases. The officers of our Union decided, Today, January 4th, 2021, that the risk involved with having a Union Meeting was not worth the possible spread of the Covid Virus and the safety of our membership. We look forward to having our next Meeting on February 12th, 2021. If you have any questions please contact the office.

MOST OSHA 5HR/ DRUG TESTING.

Most Programs has issued an extension to the OSHA 5- Hour Refresher and to the our Annual Drug Testing Program. There has been an extension put on to both the 5- hour refresher and the drug test until June 30th, 2021. This means that if you are about to expire or have expired on either the Drug Test or the 5-hour Refresher, you will have until June 30th, 2021 to comply with the updating process, with no effect to your status on the out- of- work list. 2021 Field Dues Increase/ Monthly Dues Increase

We have received notice from the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Headquarters that and increase by .25% to field dues will be assessed effective January 1st, 2021. This increase will bring Field Dues from 6.75% to 7.0%. Monthly Dues have also increased to $52.80 per month.

Any Member interested in Training for an EPPRI Rigging certification’s can do so by contacting the office for more details.
